Spanish giants Atletico Madrid announced on Thursday afternoon that Simao Sabrosa will be out of action for around three weeks.
The Portuguese winger twisted his right knee in Wednesday's 2-1 win away to Getafe, a result which leaves Atletico joint second with crosstown rivals Real Madrid.
Simao will miss the upcoming league matches against Sevilla and Barcelona, as well as the Champions League clash with Olympique Marseille.
