Two children playing on the streets of Baghdad were killed in a drive-by grenade attack, a news report said Friday.
A group of armed men drove by a group of children Thursday night in the al-Amel neighbourhood in the western part of the Iraqi capital when one threw a grenade at them, the Aswat al-Iraq news agency said.
Two children were wounded.
Meanwhile, a US soldier was killed by a roadside bomb in Iskandariya, south of Baghdad, the US Army said Friday. The blast occurred Thursday, it said.
