Yesterday the President of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu, while commenting the results of the parliamentary elections in Serbia, said that it is very important that the region had started in a good direction towards development of democratic processes and European integration.
“There will never be a language of threats from our side and there will be an approach of friendly relations which we will continue”, said Sejdiu in front of journalists after having met with the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AFK) Ramush Haradinaj.
Commenting on the position of the Serbian President Boric Tadic, that he was never going to recognize the independence of Kosovo, Сейдиу expressed confidence, that the existing tension would be overcome. “We think that the future processes will be positive because the international community in the face of the European Union is interested in helping to overcome the existing tension”, pointed Сейдиу. The Prime Minister of Kosovo evaluated that the victory of the coalition led by Boris Tadic promises stability on the Balkans. However, Тaci warned Serbia to not intervene in Kosovo. “My message to the president is to think more about Brussels and НАТО than about Kosovo”, Thaci said for AP.
