Hristo Kulishev is the new chief of the Customs Agency

Finance Minister Plamen Oresharski accepted the resignation of the Director of Customs Agency Asen Asenov.

Plamen Oresharski appointed director of the Regional Customs Directorate - Sofia on the vacated office Hristo Kulishev.

In accordance with the requirements of the Customs Law, the release of Asen Asenov and the appointment of Hristo Kulishev were concerted with the Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev.

The new chief of Customs will enter into office on June 2, and in recent days he is expected to present his team to Minister Oresharski.

"Mr. Kulishev is a long employee in the system of customs. He has demonstrated its professionalism in his work "- said the Minister of Finance about the new appointment.

During the period from 1992 to 1997 Kulishev held the office of Chief General Department of Customs, and currently is director of the Regional Customs Directorate - Sofia.

Six years ago, after the resignation of Emil Dimitrov - Revizoro, Kulishev was one of the candidates for chief of the Customs Agency.

Then he was among the four admitted by the committee to the last round, in which Asen Asenov was elected the Customs chief.
