Germany striker Lukas Podolsi has said that signing for Bayern Munich may have been a mistake.
Podolski told Bild newspaper Wednesday that had he known he would have struggled to claim a first-team place he would not have signed from Cologne two years ago.
"Had I known that things would turn out like this, then no," he said when asked if he would sign for Bayern again.
"No, I wouldn't sign again. If I said anything else people would just shake their heads."
Responding to criticism from club manager Uli Hoeness, who said Podolski should "stop complaining," the 23-year-old striker said: ""What can I say? I am not complaining, I am just not happy with the situation.
"I am just annoyed that I am not playing from the beginning but am sitting on the bench. That's quite normal."
Podolski was used mainly as a substitute under Ottmar Hitzfekld and still finds himself unable to command a starting place at Bayern under Juergen Klinsmann.
He said he would have to review his position during the winter transfer period, with his old club Cologne a favoured option.
"I would also have no fears of a move abroad, Everything is possible," he said
