Iran schedules next presidential elections for June 2009

The next presidential elections will be held on June 12, 2009, the Iranian interior ministry announced Sunday.
So far only the nomination of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the head of the opposition party Etemad Melli (National Trust), Mehdi Karroubi, have been confirmed.
