Nine new countries consider introduction of euro

Central European Bank’s experts have estimated the prerequisites for the introduction of the euro also in Bulgaria. The Bank’s report is expected on May 7th with the prerequisites for its particular introduction in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden, 10 years after the start of the monetary union. Though, the idea of an unified European currency have emerged in the 1970s.
