Philippine share prices rose by 3.81 per cent on Monday as investors continued to hunt for bargain stocks.
The Philippine Stock Exchange's 30-share composite index gained 74.49 points to close at 2,025.58, from Friday's close of 1,951.09.
A total of 1.81 million shares valued at 2.66 billion pesos (54.41 million dollars) were traded.
Gainers outpaced losers, 89 to 20, with 25 issues unchanged.
Analysts said investors were nibbling on undervalued stocks buoyed by modest gains posted on Wall Street last Friday.
