Publican topped for undies promotion

Australian officials warned a Melbourne pub owner against serving free alcohol to female patrons who took off their bras and knickers and hung them on the bar. Liquor licensing director Sue Maclellan ordered Saint Hotel licensee Cameron Manning drop plans and pull advertising for a No Undie Sundie this weekend.

Maclellan said the event was "likely to encourage irresponsible alcohol consumption."

It's not the first time Manning has run foul of the authorities. Earlier this year the Saint Hotel was blasted for employing a dwarf to walk along the bar pouring liquor down the throats of willing patrons.
