Real Madrid to be without Gago for four weeks

Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago will be out of action for four weeks, the Spanish champions said Thursday.

Gago tore the biceps femoral muscle in his left thigh in Wednesday's Champions League 2-0 win over BATE Borisov.

He had to leave the field in the 35th minute, and was replaced by Mahamadou Diarra.

Gago, 22, will miss Real's upcoming Spanish league matches against Racing Santander, Sporting Gijon, Betis and Espanyol, as well as the Champions League visit to Saint Petersburg to face Zenit.
