Sofia - the city with the lowest quality of life in EU

This was showed by data of a survey made by the British consultancy company "Mercer".
The company "Mercer" prepares an annual ranking of large cities worldwide according to quality of life indicators and personal security they offer.

US Army to spend USD 4, 5 M for Bulgarian Panther 2008

The US Army Command in charge of Europe is going to splurge USD 4,5 M for the joint US-Bulgarian military training program Bulgarian Panther 2008, which will go on from August 15th till October 17th, 2008 in Novo selo in Southeast Bulgaria.
Most of these money will be spent for providing foods and other services necessary for the logistics of the US soldiers during their stay in Bulgaria.
80 Ukrainian peacekeepers left for Kosovo

Within the last stage of the consecutive rotation in the collaborative Ukrainian-polish peacekeeping battalion UKRPOLBAT, a third group of 80 Ukrainian peacekeepers left for Kosovo, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced.
On the other hand, 97 servicemen from the old rotation had returned in Ukraine.
