One person was confirmed killed after a six-storey building collapsed in the Egyptian capital on Friday.
It was not immediately known how many people were in the residential building, situated in northern Cairo's densely populated Shobra district.
Rescue workers were sifting through the rubble. It was not clear why the building collapsed.
