The construction investment company Swiss Golf & Leisure has announced its intentions to invest in a golf complex in Romania totaling up to approximately 50 million euro.
The company was established in 2006 by five shareholders from Switzerland and Romania, as each of them has an equal stake in it. Its activities are targeted mainly in the construction field.
The new project includes a standard golf course with 18 holes, training route for cars and 350 homes located near Dragomiresti Vale, west of the capital Bucharest.
In addition, the company reported that a luxury hotel will be built along with fitness, a swimming complex and a restaurant. Expectations of investors are the whole project to be completed by the end of 2010.
According to Prince Mihail-Dimitri Sturdza, who has presented the project to Romanian media, the total value of investment only for building the golf course, exceeds 5.6 million euro.
This is the second project, including a golf course, which is under construction in Romania. First is the resort Poiana Brasov, built by INR Management, which is located in the central part of the country.
