Tsarevo and Ahtopol to become yacht ports

Tsarevo and Ahtopol have all chances to
become yacht ports. It was said on Wednesday by the mayor of Tsarevo Petko
Arnaudov, who is one of the three city chiefs who signed documents for
ownership of the ports of Pomorie, Tsarevo and Ahtopol.

The three mayors - of Pomorie Petar
Zlatanov, of Tsarevo Petko Arnaudov and Ahtopol Biser Kolev called the moment
historic for the three municipalities. The ceremony involved the President and
the Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev. He said that in future yacht ports will
become subjects of private interest and this will affect the future of the
three marine cities.

In the presence of Minister-President, the
regional governor of Burgas Lyubomir Panteleev signed the contracts of the two
municipalities for the ownership over the ports of Pomorie, Tsarevo and
Ahtopol. With this for the first time Bulgarian municipalities have the free
right to acquire ownership of their ports under a decision of the Council of
Ministers of last year.

"When you see how these municipalities
utilize the ports, it is likely that other municipalities in the country will
be soon given the opportunity to have this chance like Pomorie, Ahtopol and
Tsarevo, said Stanishev.
